- Dear User, the UMI Group (Universal Motors Israel Ltd. (UMI) and the rest of its companies – Avis Israel, UTS – Universal Transportation Solutions Ltd., Dan Lease-A-Car 1988 (Trade-in) Ltd., UMI Insurance Agency (1994) Ltd., Universal Financial Solutions Ltd., Office 3000 Ltd., Universal Import U.M.I. Ltd. (jointly: the “Group” or the “UMI Group” or severally the “Company” and/or “UMI”), which operates the UMI website at umi.co.il and the Group’s other websites (the “Website” and with respect to the websites operated by the Group: the “Websites” or the “Group Websites“), as well as the applications, digital chatbot services, digital invoicing services and other digital services (jointly hereinafter: the “Digital Interfaces”), respects your privacy and the privacy of all its customers and users of its services (the “User” and/or the “Users“).
- Use of the Digital Services is subject to their current privacy policy and indicates your consent to the Privacy Policy and the modifications to be made therein from time to time. We therefore recommend that you review the Privacy Policy before use. The Group may from time to time change the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, jointly or severally, to reflect technological, business, legal or regulatory changes. Such updates to the Privacy Policy will be published in this document, which can be found in its updated form on the Group Websites.
- The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide details on the information collected about you in consequence of the services offered on the Group’s Digital Interfaces and to review how the Group uses the information provided by the User and collected by the Group in consequence of the services offered on the Digital Interfaces (the “Services”). Please note that different rules may apply to specific services and/or apps, and a specific policy regarding the use of the information to be collected in that app may be posted next to them. In such case, the specific privacy policy of that service will apply.
It is clarified that wherever the term the “Group” is used, this refers to each of the Group companies jointly and severally, so that information collected when using the Digital Interfaces is collected for the entire Group.
- Collection of Information
- When using the Websites and receipt of the Services, information may be requested about the Users, as set out below (jointly hereinafter: the “Information”):
- Information required for the provision and operation of services provided by the Group, including personal details such as: Full name, address, ID Card No., telephone number, email address, and if necessary also vehicle features.
- Information required for the purchase of products or services on the Digital Interfaces, including personal details such as: Full name, address, email address, order details, means and method of payment, and order comments.
- Information for applying for a job in the Group: The User may apply for a job in the Group on the Website or through a chatbot via the designated email address. It should be clarified that submission of a job application on one of the Group Websites, or for a specific position, will allow for examining the candidate’s suitability for other positions in the Group and contacting the candidate accordingly.
- Information for receiving updates, benefits and important information: Full name, telephone number and email address.
- Technical information and digital identifiers: Technical information will also be collected when using the Digital Interfaces: browser type, details about the end device used, IP address, browsing data, and usage habits on the Group’s Websites, including browsing and consumption. This information will be collected through cookies, as specified in section 4 below.
- Establishing contact and information collected during a chat conversation: In order to receive a quick response for a service, sale or for submitting a job application, the User may refer to a chatbot on the Website or on WhatsApp. Depending on the conversation, the personal information that may be requested when using a chatbot: Full name, telephone number, ID number, nature of the inquiry and relevant documents relating to the requested service. The more relevant information is provided, the more accurate the assistance we can provide. Engaging in a chat session or uploading documents through it is free, and its content may be saved in the Group’s systems.
- Please note that providing this information is voluntary, and you are not legally obligated to do so. However, that without providing the requested details, we will not be able to provide some or all of the Services. Moreover, some of the details and information about you are required by law for the provision of the Services (such as purchase and payment details for digital invoicing).
- It is important to provide and/or update the Digital Interfaces with information that is correct, reliable and accurate, only in your name and for yourself, and not on behalf of and/or for third parties, except in cases where you have an explicit written authorization to do so.
- The Group will retain the information about you for the period of time needed for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period of retention is needed or permitted by law.
- When using the Websites and receipt of the Services, information may be requested about the Users, as set out below (jointly hereinafter: the “Information”):
- Purposes and manner of use of information
- We collect the information for the following purposes (all or some):
- Operation, management and provision of the Group’s services and business activity, including through the Websites and Digital Interfaces.
- Establishing contact with you for the provision of the Services, for contacting you by direct mail and marketing inquiries, through the various means of contacting you.
- Operational and other controls on the Digital Interfaces, including for improving and enhancing the Services and the content offered on the Website and on the Digital Interfaces.
- Operational and other controls, including for troubleshooting, fraud prevention, security, fraud detection and any other unlawful activity.
- For marketing and statistical purposes, including research, characterization, as well as in order to optimize and conduct satisfaction surveys to improve the Services.
- For purposes of complying with statutory provisions, legal defense, enforcement of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, resolution and clarification of disputes between the Users and the Group Companies or anyone acting on its behalf.
- Management of Customer Clubs.
- Enable the User to use the various Digital Interfaces.
- The Group may send you operational messages, alerts and updates in various ways by email, Whatsapp or by text messages, including by direct mailing. Additionally, subject to having provided contact details, the Group may from time to time send marketing and advertising information, benefit offers by email, Whatsapp, text messages and/or other means of communication, all in accordance with the law and subject to your consent. If you would like to stop receiving direct mailing or advertising mailing from us, you can do so by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the relevant email, if one exists, or by sending a letter by registered mail to 10 HaMasger Street, Lod 7129807, or according to other unsubscribe instructions that will appear in the direct mailing message or in the advertising message.
- We collect the information for the following purposes (all or some):

- Please note that the Services and the Websites utilize cookies and similar technologies, including pixels, web beacons, and Google Analytics (jointly: “Cookies”) to ensure their regular and proper operation and to secure the data in them and the information provided. This includes the collection of statistical data about use of the Services, making decisions about your profile and/or activity, verification of details and identification, prevention of fraud and scams, enhancing the user experience of the Services, while tailoring the content and the Services to your personal preferences, specification of the products suitable for you, and for personalizing advertising and content relevant to you. This is done for statistical, research, marketing and commercial purposes as well as for data security.
- Cookies are essentially text files generated by the User’s browser or app according to a command from the Group’s computers. Some Cookies expire when the relevant app is closed, while others are stored in the memory of your device or browser.
- The Cookies contain and collect various information, such as the webpages you visited, the amount of time spent on the Group Websites, your IP address, characteristics of your end device and other information. Cookies may also store information about your browsing habits on other websites, including the websites you visited, the webpages on the websites and any other action in them. The information in the Cookies is encrypted, and the Group takes precautions to ensure that only the Group’s computers or authorized persons can access and understand the information stored in them.
- Additionally, for fulfilling the aforementioned purposes, we may also use third-party cookies, such as those from Google and Meta. Consequently, the Group may provide Google and Meta with information accumulated in the Cookies about you, which they may use in accordance with their policy that is available for you in the following links.
- Google Analytics uses Cookies to help the site analyze how users visit the site. The information collected with the help of the “Cookie” file is transmitted and stored on Google servers. Google uses this information to evaluate and generate reports about your use and activity on the Website. Google may also transfer the information to a third party, when it is required to do so by law, or when a third party processes the information for Google. Google will not associate the IP address with other information Google has.

Specifically with respect to Google:

- Submission of Information to a Third Party
- The Group may from time to time transfer information about you to third parties, as specified below or in any other case in which it will be necessary to transfer information.
- At the User’s request and/or with his explicit consent;
- For the operation and provision of the Services on the Websites and the Group’s activity in general, and for processing the data as set out in this Privacy Policy, including, but not only, technology system providers, data storage providers (in Israel and abroad), support service providers and service improvement, billing and payment collection providers, digital invoicing service providers, marketing messaging providers, providers of targeted and personalized advertising in the various media, and more.
- In its activity vis-a-vis business affiliates and/or within and as part of the UMI Group of companies for the purpose of providing the Services for you as well as for the purposes of use stated above, for the provision of the Services, streamlining them and creating new services, including by sharing information with Google or Meta (Facebook), including as stated above in section 4;
- If you violate the Terms of Use of the Group’s Websites, including the terms and conditions of the Privacy Policy and/or should you and/or someone acting on your behalf commit or attempt to commit, through the Services and/or in connection with them, actions that are contrary to the Terms of Use, including the Privacy Policy and violation of any statutory provision.
- For legal purposes, such as submission of information to an authority pursuant to a legal order, statutory duty or judicial order requiring the Group to submit the information to third parties for the purpose of conducting a proceeding or legal dispute and the like;
- If the Group believes, at its sole discretion, that the submission of the information is necessary in order to prevent serious damage to the Group and/or to the property or person of the User and/or third parties or to prevent other serious damage;
- Should the Group transfer and/or sell and/or assign to a third party its activity and/or an activity of any of the Group companies and/or their rights and obligations to the User, in whole or in part, including as stated the transfer of the information within the UMI Group and between its various subsidiaries, as well as in the event of a change in control of the Group, including by way of a merger, acquisition, or purchase of its assets, in whole or in part.
- The Group may submit statistical information and data from third-party cookies to third parties, including advertisers, subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the provisions of any law. In any event, statistical information to be submitted to third parties will not personally identify the User.
- Furthermore, various links to websites may appear when using the Digital Interfaces, including in the digital invoices, such as various social networks, e.g. Facebook, YouTube and advertisements or other websites (the “External Websites“). Clicking the link to the External Websites will be at your own volition and responsibility, as you will be leaving the Website and will be directed to an external website, and you will be subject to its terms and conditions, including its privacy policy. From that point on, the Group and/or anyone acting on its behalf will have no control over what is done with your information, and therefore it will not bear liability in this respect.
- The Group may from time to time transfer information about you to third parties, as specified below or in any other case in which it will be necessary to transfer information.
- Data Security
- The Group uses standard and required security and protection tools to protect the confidentiality of user-provided data, while taking all standard precautions and using suitable security technologies. While the Group dedicates resources and takes precautions to prevent intrusion and thwart any possible violation of the User’s privacy, it cannot completely prevent such harm or disruptions.
